Our Story
Our journey here at AMH Design began in December 2017, when Abbi Hepworth embarked on an entrepreneurial journey to establish an interiors division.
As Abbi poured her heart into her craft, the business flourished. In February 2021, she added the very first AMH employee. Soon after, Abbi also hired a procurement manager to expand our services for an all-encompassing approach.
In 2022, the business underwent a transformative rebrand, emerging as AMH Design. Now, we are based in a beautiful office in Boise, with our projects spanning across the nation. From one client to a full portfolio, the AMH Design team is more dedicated and passionate than ever to take on exciting new projects and expand our creative horizons.

The Faces Behind the Stunning Spaces
MANAGING PRINCIPAL - OWNER
Abbi Hepworth
Abbi is the founder, managing partner, and creative lifeblood of AMH Design. In her day-to-day, she manages the interiors team, supervises all projects, and nurtures the growth of the interior design business. She enjoys every facet of the design process, spanning from the initial conception, the development of 3D rendering, the creation of construction documents, and collaborating directly with clients to realize their vision.
Abbi’s love for fashion and design started at a young age. At age 7, she started sketching elevations and section cuts through houses with the help of her grandma, an interior designer. Abbi went on to attend University of Idaho and earned a Bachelor of Interior Design, with a complementary minor in architecture. She has also obtained certification in interior design (NCIDQ). In her free time, you may find Abbi and her husband, Grady, enjoying the outdoors together. Some of her favorites include golfing, running, and skiing.
BUSINESS MANAGER
Shauna Miller
As the Business Manager at AMH Design, Shauna specializes in all things finance and operations. She brings with her a 7-year background in corporate accounting. At AMH, her main responsibilities include strategic future planning, financial planning, and financial payments. She also provides critical support to marketing, managing principal duties, and the company’s day-to-day operations.
Shauna is based out of Spokane, Washington but frequently visits the office in Boise and helps with onsite installs. Outside of spreadsheets, you’ll find her experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen or spending time with her family. Good food and good company are her absolute favorites. During the winter season, her weekends are spent hitting the slopes with her husband.
ASSOCIATE INTERIOR DESIGNER
Abigayl Nielsen
Abigayl joined AMH Design as the Associate Interior Designer, and her daily responsibilities include selecting finishes, creating construction documents, liaising with consultants, maintaining a current sample library of product finishes, and crafting 3D presentations for clients. She finds interior design to be a fascinating intersection between technical and creative, and she takes pleasure in paying attention to the minutest details that make each project exceptional.
Abigayl earned her bachelor’s degree in interior design from Iowa State University and is currently pursuing both NCIDQ certification and LEED accreditation. She has traveled to over 12 countries and has even spent four months in Italy while studying architecture and design. Some of her hobbies include brewing specialty coffee, camping, paddle boarding, and yoga. She is also an advocate for animal rescues and loves spending time with her shepherd mix, Rylee.
INTERIOR DESIGNER - DRAFTER
Joanna Dolan
Joanna recently joined the AMH Design team as the Interior Designer and Drafter at AMH Design. When she’s not busy drafting or working in Revit, she also helps with selections and 3D renderings. Joanna has a passion for helping create spaces that inspire people to learn, reflect, discover, and create themselves. Her attention to detail, technical expertise, and creative flair are major assets to the AMH team.
Joanna earned a bachelor’s degree in interior architecture at California State University. She recently relocated to Boise to live closer to family, and since then, has been taking advantage of Idaho’s many outdoor adventures. Her happy place is laughing around a table with family and friends, cozy nights watching movies, sunrises while camping, and evening walks with her husband, Nick, and her pup, Millie.
PROCUREMENT SPECIALIST
Sara Mueller
Sara first realized her love for helping people achieve their dream spaces in a previous position with Parachute Home. Now, as the Procurement Specialist for AMH Design, Sara does this on a daily basis. Collaborating with the internal design team, she meticulously curates furniture, fixtures, and equipment for each project to bring the client’s vision to life. She also adds her experience in project management, specializing in communicating with clients and anticipating their needs.
Growing up, Sara was deeply immersed in the creative process, with a front row seat to various family construction and design endeavors. This led her to earn her bachelor’s degree in geography and urban planning at Texas Christian University. In her free time, Sara is an outdoor enthusiast and enjoys hiking, pickleball, walking her dog, and wakesurfing. Her favorite hobby is trying out different local craft coffee shops, especially while traveling.
